I want to buy a laptop off eBay for like 200$.First thing i do when i receive it, is to Reformat the hard drive. I can get a disk to reformat the hard drive off eBay for liek 10$, but it would erase Windows XP which is like 100$ and i dont want to spend it. Say if i bought a Dell laptop on eBay, could i call up Dell and ask them to send the Recovery Disk CD kits? And the CD kits that “Dell” Would ship, it would have Windows built onto it? Because my desktop is HP and i have the HP recovery disks and it automatically sets windows onto the OS.
Hmm if you order the recovery cd’s for that particular computer than it should come with Windows on it. I just sold 2 laptops on Ebay and I included two recovery disk that I ordered from digitalmedia-labs.com. They are great. They can create just about any replacement recovery cd and they include Windows on it as well. If you bought a dell laptop, depending on how old it is, Dell should still be able to send them to you. However, Dell has ticked me off the last couple of days (due to delays in my new laptop) so my faith in them is slowing diminishing.
