Laptop is froze on boot screen, cannot access setup menu….Help?
I have a friend who has an Acer 3690 Laptop. It’s a few years old and out of warranty. While checking it out, it apparently sticks on Boot screen upon powering on and then freezes up completely and cannot access the setup menu from within system itself.
I’m not sure exactly what happened prior to this situation. What I can say is that she tried running a D2D Disk Recovery in which led to the dismal state that it is in now.
So, if there is anybody out there that can help me get some insight on this for my friend that would be great!! Thanks!
Again, the laptop is almost COMPLETELY non-functioning. Which means the CD-Rom doesn’t work as well and I’m not able to access setup menu to get into the bios or boot options. Possible hardware issues, maybe?
I could be a number of things but if your friend has backups of everything then the absolute best thing to do would be to reload the operating system
