I lost the recovery disk for HP e-pc and the XP is not functioning right?
My HP E-pc’s window XP Professional is not function well. For example the screen resolution can not be re-set. I want to reload the xp windows, but I do not have the recovery disk any more and I do not have the xp software either. I do have the authentication label on the computer. What should I do?

I tried to follow the answer by sweetbytch24 posted here, but there is no pc help in all programs as suggested. do what Zephyr has said , thats the way to do it, BUT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW, aser has had some problems with there reloading of windows from the reload disks that you are going to make , not all aser products have this problem but theres a few that did. what happens is when you need to use them to reload windows, they will fail and give you a error saying that they couldn’t finish reloading windows, now remember not all acer’s had that problem but some did. thats why i use norton’s ghost it has never failed to reload windows on any of my computers. i use it to make a complete backup image on a external HD attached to my network, all i have to do is insert my norton’s startup disk in any of my computers and tell it to restore my computer. you can have it restore it back to the way it was when you bought the computer, or have it set up to restore it to the last time you backed up, which will still have all your programs installed on it. something else if you want you can go on to acer and buy your reload disk from them, its cheap, and them never fail to reload windows back to factory specs Check Ebay for aspire recovery disk products. Also I have vista home edition. and my laptop is stuck on a black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left corner.and it has been like this for three days. I tired pressing (Alt +F10) but nothing happing. THe screen is still black.I want it back the way it was when I got it.
